Neck Trampoline Lift Surgery (Platysmaplasty)
If you are unfamiliar with this type of procedure, allow us to explain. The Trampoline Lift is a neck lift surgery technique we offer to those within the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Brisbane, which is designed to lift and improve a lax, sagging neck resulting from ageing or inherited through genetics. This procedure involves the use of five unique surgical tools that elevate and define any soft tissue areas by weaving a suture trampoline underneath the jaw line.
Understanding this unique surgery procedure:
This unique method allows the placement of a suture “lattice” similar to a shoelace that spans the entire neck region beneath the jaw line. This support system is created by weaving suture material under the skin through a series of small punctures. Once the lacing is completed, the suture is tightened and secured, resulting in the lifting of the neck skin and underlying muscles simultaneously. The lift is created with braided polyester suture (no barbs). Unlike a traditional lift, the technique is carried out with minimal incisions, therefore reducing swelling, bruising and scarring.
During this type of surgery, there is no cutting and repositioning of the muscles involved, which reduces the risk of damage to the nerves and blood vessels of the neck and face. In some cases, the Trampoline Lift may be combined with liposuction of the chin to also remove excess fat. Additionally, blepharoplasty (eyelid reduction), facelift and brow lift procedures can also be performed at the time of the procedure. You will have plenty of opportunity to discuss neck lift surgery cost, combinations of procedures, recovery time and other issues when you come in for a consultation at our Melbourne or Gold Coast / Brisbane clinic.
