Rhinoplasty (Cosmetic Nose Surgery)

Small changes, big difference

Nose surgery, officially termed rhinoplasty (and colloquially, a ‘nose job’), can be performed to change consequences of genetics, birth defects or injury. It can be done to enhance your appearance by balancing facial features. Nose plastic surgery may also correct impaired breathing caused by structural abnormalities in the nose. While the shape of your nose is usually the result of heredity, the appearance may have been altered in an injury or during prior surgery. At Cosmetic Plastic Surgery centre, we also offer revision rhinoplasty to help correct such problems.

The rhinoplasty nose surgery procedure can help to balance facial features and enhance general appearance, having an enormous impact on a patient’s face in profile. Surgery can broaden, narrow or straighten the nose, also improving the transition between the nose and upper lip. We provide our patients with all the resources they need to explore potential results, as well as ask about nose surgery cost and other aspects, when they come in for consultation on rhinoplasty at our Melbourne or Gold Coast / Brisbane clinic.

Understanding the procedure:

Our rhinoplasty surgeon will discuss which aspects of your nose require enhancement, as well as those features best left untouched. At the initial consultation, Dr Zacharia will ask you to express your concerns about your nose’s appearance and to describe symptoms. Dr Zacharia is a highly experienced rhinoplasty surgeon; you can see some of his work in the image gallery below. Digital photographs of your face will be taken and computer imaging will be used to analyse the nose. This will enable you to view your current appearance and determine realistic outcomes following surgery.
